Copy and Paste, The Future of Programming?
By Ramon Leon - 6 October 2006 under Programming, Smalltalk
I went to OOPSLA last year, and one of the things I found interesting, was this little language called subtext. I was horrified by it, here it was, a language based entirely on the concept of copy and paste. Here's one of the author's early blog posts about it, and the paper he submitted to OOPSLA. I think he's totally wrong, way off base, however, there's some interesting ideas in this paper, it's worth a read. You should watch the demo video as well, it's weird, really weird, but it takes the idea of runtime even further than Smalltalk.

As it was intended.
Thanks, I take that as a compliment.
